Josh Fossgreen is a Bay Area electric bassist who doesn’t suck even a little bit. He has skanked with ska bands, laid it down for countless cruise ship cocktail sets, and toured the country while wearing a kilt unironically.
With 20+ years of performing, recording and touring experience, his style is grounded but agile, playfully dancing between supportive simplicity and adventurous melodicism.
You can hear him playing around the Bay with funk-pop band Burrows & Dilbeck, various jazz combos, and noodling with effects pedals far too loudly in the garage. He’s also taught millions of bassists to suck less through BassBuzz and his Beginner to Badass course.
