I’ve been wanting to create this lesson for a long time, because I believe that it’s been one of the most important practice methods in my years of playing.
There’s definitely a lot of value in looking outward at teachers, books, DVDs, and other musicians for practice ideas. BUT I think most people already know how to do that, and in this lesson we’ll explore a way to look inward at your own curiosity to find things to practice.
One of the real cool aspects of this practice is that you will always be really engaged in what you’re practice, since it came out of your own desire in that moment. This can really help spice up a practice routine, since we all know that just practicing scales, arpeggios, and hand exercises has its very dull moments.
I really hope you guys will try this out, and let me know how it goes!
